[-o< This is a total Linux show stopper for me and I can't even go to any other distro. I beg somebody to have a solution for this. I have seen some posts to enable SMB browsing on the firewall but it never worked for me.
I like to point out that this is happening accross all new distros, like Fedora 9, Suse 11. With previous versions from 8.04.1 down, this was not an issue. When I open any of them, they come out blank, empty. Smb://192.168.1.2I get a list of my folder shares. When I browse network shares on my NAS drive like so: Now the problem is even worst in Ibex (8.10). First, Hardy Heron had a problem with browsing folders (could not copy network folders) and it got fixed in 8.04.1.
Well, here we go again with another Samba problem.
